1. What is it for ?
“What…for?”是在不理解对方的动机或询问对方的目的和用意时的常用语，相当于“Why”,意为“为何目的，为何理由”，常用because引导的句子作答。
eg:1).---What do you want a knife for?
---To cut the apples.
2)---Why do you want a knife?
---Because I want to cut the apple.
2. I’m afraid I can’t afford it.
afford 通常与can/could/be able to 等连用意思是“有足够的（金钱，时间）做……”多用于否定句和疑问句。
Eg: 1). We can not afford (to buy) a new car.
2).This house is so expensive that I can’t afford it.
3.That’s a very low price for such a great product!
price意为“价格，价钱”，at a very low price意为
“以很低的价格”。表示价格的高低要用high或low,不能用cheap或expensive。
eg: 1). He bought a bike at a very low price.
2).The price of houses is high at present.
3).This house is expensive at present.
4).This kind of books is too cheap.
