learning a new language为动名词作主语。

Travelling makes me relaxed.旅游让我放松。

take用作动词,意为“花费”。

It takes sb. some time to do sth.意为“某人花费……做某事”。

It often takes me two hours to do my homework.

做作业经常花费我两小时。

2.You can communicate with different people and learn new things. 

communicate with sb.意为“与某人沟通、交流”。

He was never good at communicating 

with his parents.他从不善于和父母进行沟通。

3.Learning English can also help you understand differences between cultures. 

difference用作名词,意为“区别”。形容词为different,意为“不同的”;副词为differently,意为“不同地”。

She reads the word differently from others.

4.English opens a door to the world for you. 

a door to the world 意为“通往世界的大门”,
