middle /'mɪdl/ adj.中等的
middle school意为“中学，初中”。若具体指哪所中学时，其前不加冠词，并且每个单词首字母要大写。
eg: No.1 Middle School 第一中学
middle还可以作名词，意为“中间，中部”。常用短语：in the middle“在中间”；in the middle of...“在……中间”。

考向一【重点】本句是There be句型，表示“有……”。There be句型中的be动词的单复数取决于离be动词最近的名词，即就近原则。
eg：There is a book and some pens on the desk.
桌子上有一本书和几支钢笔。
＝There are some pens and a book on the desk.
桌子上有几支钢笔和一本书。
考向二【重点】【难点】There be句型的一般将来时：There will be .../ There is / are going to be...
